What We Believe

The Church of God stands for the whole Bible rightly divided. The New Testament is our only rule for government and discipline — the eternal Word as our supreme guide for all matters of faith, life, and practice.

01
Holy Scriptures

The whole Bible completely and equally inspired — the written Word of God, our supreme guide for all matters.

02
Holy Trinity

One God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost — co-equal, co-eternal, one divine nature.

03
Jesus Christ

Only begotten Son of the Father, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified, buried, and raised from the dead — now at the right hand.

Declaration of Faith

Core Doctrines

The Church of God believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired — the written Word of God. The following Declaration of Faith is our standard and official expression of doctrine.

Each doctrine below represents a core conviction of our faith, rooted in Scripture and lived out in the witness of our congregation across Kerala and the world. These are not merely intellectual positions, but lived truths that shape our worship, our service, and our mission.

01
The Holy Scriptures

The Church of God believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired — the written Word of God, completely sufficient as our guide for faith, practice, and all matters of life.

02
The Holy Trinity

In one God eternally existing in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Co-equal, co-eternal, and of one divine nature, three distinct persons in perfect unity.

03
Jesus Christ

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That He was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead — now at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor.

04
Salvation & New Birth

That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God — and that repentance is commanded of God for all. Justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

05
Water Baptism

Baptism by immersion — to plunge or dip beneath the surface of the water and lift out again — a burial and resurrection with Christ, as commanded for all who believe and are born again.

06
The Holy Spirit

The foundation of our church is built upon Biblical holiness. We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit and in the full Gospel experience — including speaking with other tongues as the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

Core Values

How We Live
Our Faith

Our beliefs are not merely doctrinal positions — they are lived convictions that shape how we worship, serve, and reach our communities.

Our beliefs are not merely doctrinal positions — they are lived convictions that shape how we worship, serve, and reach our communities. The Church of God in Kerala expresses these values daily through care for the poor, active evangelism, and discipleship of all who believe.

Every local church is called to embody the full Gospel — not only in word, but in the power of the Holy Spirit, in acts of compassion, and in the relentless proclamation of Christ to the lost.

Biblical Holiness
The foundation of the Church of God, laid upon the principles of Biblical holiness — separation from sin, consecration to God, and living set apart for His purposes.
Care for the Poor
Care for the poor, homeless, and needy. This core value is commanded by Scripture and lived out through our local churches across all of Kerala.
Evangelism & Missions
Reaching the unconverted, baptising them in water, and leading them to unite with the church — viewing all the districts of Kerala as our mission field.
Church Planting
Starting new mission stations equal to a minimum of 20% of the total number of churches in a District annually — recognising church planting as an apostolic ministry for our day.
